Large bottle 2019 rose thumb

The Barossa Valley has the perfect climate and ideal grape varieties to produce Rosé. It is a wine style that should be enjoyed fresh and chilled.

Having been amongst the first to lead the great Rosé revival, it has been interesting to watch the popularity of this wine style grow.

Bucking the notion that Rosé is an afterthought, our 'Prince of Pink' has a special place in our hearts & is crafted with a clear purpose.

Sourced from specific sites achieving perfect yields promoting prominent primary fruit while retaining appealing palate cleansing crispness.

Enjoy with: Friends, under a tree on a hot, summer's day. Not summer? Just turn up the heat & serve with Asian or Spanish inspired spicy or seafood dishes. Best served chilled.

2014 Vintage Tasting notes

A hot and dry summer intensified varietal character whilst February rainfall unfurled the vintage allowing each site to be picked individually at their optimum. This has translated to an elegant Rosé with vibrant aromatics and a rich palate. Our 21st vintage of Rosé is a celebration of style and an evolution in taste. A delectable wine of unquestionable charm and prominence.

Beautifully salmon pink in colour, the nose is irrefutably forward with strawberry, raspberry and rose petal. An ample palate follows brimming with round, luscious fruit and a whisper of cream and spice. Soft tannins define the palate and lead on to a persistent finish.

2014 Rosé "Immense class and length"

2014 Turkey Flat, Rosé, Barossa Valley, South Australia (approx. £12.00, Corks Out tel. 01244 310 455, Costco, Amps Fine Wines tel. 01832 273502,

The brand new vintage of Turkey Flat’s iconic rosé has hit the shelves this week and it is a stormer. Don’t let the pale colour fool you – this is a wine that can go hand to hand combat with the spiciest of curries. It is a spectacular, cranberry-themed wine with immense class and length.

2014 Rosé featured in James Halliday's Top 100 wines!

We're thrilled to report that our beautiful Prince of Pink was awarded a place in James Halliday's Top 100 Wines of 2014.

Not only was our Rosé awarded a whopping 95 points by the esteemed wine critic, it was also the only still rosé (from close to 300 within Australia) featured in the list!

Yes, we're very, very happy!

2014 Rosé - You'll love it

This is consistently one of my favourite rosés. Such a light and delicate style of wine, ironically from the home of big, rich powerful reds. It’s a multi-varietal blend, with a little dolcetto adding a lovely fragrant lift and a keen, persistently fine acid through the middle palate to the long finish. Finishes perfectly clean and dry. You’ll love it.

(Best drinking: Now to 2015. Alc: 13%)

2014 Rosé - one of the great go-tos

One of the great go-to Rosés of the past generation, this blend of grenache, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon & dolcetto presents with a pale pink gloss and polish, then fragrant red berry and a faint mint and forest background aromatic. A medium powered palate in rosé terms, ripe with a light grip, will suit robust entrees.

4.5 stars

Value: Cracklin'

Best with: Tarragon and thyme chicken
