It's official! Silver Raven Festival will be back in 2017. We're thrilled to be joining forces with the Barossa Vintage Festival to bring you a bigger and better festival than this year (although 2016's event was pretty magical if you ask us!) Headliners Strand of Oaks are set to bring their uniquely earth-shattering sound straight from the USA and will be joined by fellow countrymen Jonny Fritz and Sonny & the Sunsets, alongside Australian talent Henry Wagons & the Only Children, Jen Cloher (with full band featuring Courtney Barnett, Bones Sloane & Jen Sholakis), Ruby Boots, Lost Ragas, The San Sebastian and Wanderers.

2016 Quinquina - Yum.

Pronouned "keh-kina', this aromatised wine is the Barossa version of Dubbonet or Lillet Blanc. Marsanne was pressed, settled and racked before having fresh and preserved orange rind, dried lychee, blackberry, lemongrass, safflower and green tea thrown in to infuse for several moths. Lastly, a solution of simmered cinchona bark was added before bottling to add a bitter kick. Sip chilled, or top with sparkling water and a twist of lemon. Yum.

2015 Butchers Block Red - outstanding value for money

Deep red/purple, bright colour, with a walnut, dry spice, dusty aroma. It's medium to full-bodied and softly textured, with good fleshiness and abundant supple tannins. There is density and richness here, with some licorice notes and abundant alcohol without hotness. A generously proportioned shiraz-based red. Delicious wine, and quite decadent. Outstanding value for money. Huon Hooke

2014 Grenache - smoothly textured and supple

Deep red/purple hue, and a medium-complex, spicy, charming bouquet despite its youth. Medium-bodied, soft and fleshy, smoothly textured and supple, with gentle tannins and good length. An attractive wine, drinking well now. Straightforward but good
