Toasting 170 years of shiraz in style

Saturday 26 August saw the winery polished to perfection, ready to host a wonderful group of friends to celebrate the 170th anniversary of our 'Ancestor' shiraz vines.

These shiraz vines, planted in 1847 by Johann Fiedler, are the very reason Turkey Flat Vineyards exists as a winery, so honour them we did.

Our guests were treated to a sumptuous, wine-friendly dinner by chef Duncan Welgemoed of Africola, along with our most favourite wines from our current releases and the museum. The stand out being 'The Ancestor' - a single site wine made purely from the very same 1847 vines being honoured.

We would like to offer a huge thank you to all of our guests for joining us, and of course to Duncan and his team, for making this special occasion so memorable for all the right reasons.
