Discover more of the Barossa - follow the Bethany to Angaston Trail

Blog full b2a header v3 03

We are very proud of our region within the Barossa -and more so - to be part of the vibrant, growing Bethany to Angaston Trail. This trail brings to you our little community from Bethany (our home, near Tanunda) to the hills of Angaston - where we go to for that amazing shiraz, cheeky little riesling, fresh & fabulous produce straight from the farm, Friday knock-off beer - where we take our own visitors when they come to town. Bringing new life from the old

Blog full new old vines december 2016 plantings 4839

If you’ve followed the Turkey Flat story you’ll be familiar with our origins as the trial garden for viticulture during Barossa Valley settlement in the 1840s. Furthermore that the protection of the shiraz vines planted during this time was the impetus for the birth of Turkey Flat Vineyards as a winery. A little known adjunct to this story is back when cumbersome tractors replaced the horse and cart, the new machines could no longer fit between the rows of vines. Blog full medal wins

It's the end of the run for the main wine show circuit in Australia, the results are in and we can't wipe the smiles off our faces... Why? Because our reds - namely the 2014 Shiraz, 2015 Grenache and 2015 Butchers Block Red have medalled in every show they were entered into. Yes. Every. Single. Show. This a rare feat and unlikely to be replicated by many other, if any other wineries in Australia and is very much in line with our most successful exhibitor in the Barossa Show. Our reds are in a very good place at the moment, consistent giant slayers, so we are certainly confident and proud of them.

This year's Barossa Wine Show was a rather grand affair, celebrating 40 years of this show & our region's rich winemaking history. And boy, did we have (another) reason to celebrate! Wow!
