2012 Cabernet Sauvignon - Much to admire all round.

Barossa Valley cabernet. Extended maceration and 20 months in French oak. 13.5% alc helps set the tone.

Elegant, complex, suggestions of sweet fruit but no more than that. Nothing bruising about this wine and, accordingly, it takes a bit to get your head around it, or to notice its charms. But it is charming. In fact, it’s quite beautiful. Seamless, medium-bodied, varietal, chocolatey, tangy; all those things. Much to admire all round.
