SALLY GUDGEON, QANTAS THE AUSTRALIAN WAY MAGAZINE, NOVEMBER 2007
'Turkey Flat have some of the oldest Shiraz vines in the world, dating to 1847. Only the best barrels of its Shiraz are fermented to make this sparkler. After second fermentation it is left on lees for ten months, then old vintage port is used for the dosage. Complex and rich, it smells of Christmas cake and baked earth, with fresh fruit notes of plums and blueberries. Drink with Christmas fare.'

RALPH KYTE-POWELL, EPICURE SUMMER 2007
'Turkey Flat's Barossa vineyard has some of the oldest Shiraz vines in Australia. The still red wines that result are classics, and so is this sparkling red. It smells like a summer pudding of berries with some gentle spice and warm, earthy notes. The velvety palate has slight sweetness in the middle and lovely soft, fine-grained tannins underneath.'

HUON HOOKE, GOOD LIVING NOVEMBER 2005
'This is the wine for your Christmas roast turkey and/or baked ham. Dense colour. Meaty, chocolatey, plummy and smoky, and happily its not oaky. fleshy, smooth, nice high extract without being tannic. Good balance and finishes dry.'
