THE WINE FRONT - Campbell Mattinson, January 2005
I'm all for it. It's good. It's honeyed and toasted and weighty, with power and guts on the finish and lots of lemony acidity cutting the palate into shape. Serious white.

JAMES HALLIDAY – October, 2000
Medium yellow-green; the toasty bouquet has touches of honey and citrus, the palate with a corresponding mix of toast and grass flavours. Quite rich, but almost inevitably doesn't have the finesse required for aging. Best Drinking: 2001 to 2002, 85 out of 100.

THE AGE Uncorked – 12 October, 1999
This showcases the better side of Barossa Semillon. It has early picked delicacy and restraint. The colour is light yellow-green, and the aromas are of straw, lemon and cut-grass. The flavour is discreet and stylish. Rating: 4.5 Stars

WINE – THE TASTING, July 1994
‘Still quite oaky, honeyed and rich,’ said Peter, ‘big style with lots of concentration’. Charles M approved of the ‘lean, ripe greengagey fruit and excellent toasty character,’ while Oz enjoyed ‘rich deep flavours of sugared nuts, leather and lanolin.’ Stuart said ‘the palate has a fresh, hard, minerally lime character, but there’s a soft-edged structure with it very appetising and well-made wine.’
