Chardonnay
2008 Vintage
THE WINE FRONT – Campbell Mattinson, December 2008
I'm not sure that I've ever tasted a Turkey Flat chardonnay before. But having come up with positive results for the Bowen Estate chardie, I thought it might be worth checking out the chardonnay work of another renowned red maker. The flavours are decent. Peaches, brass, toast and nectarines. No alarms and no surprises, that's for sure. But that said, there's a lifelessness to this wine that prevents medal-like points.
