In 1847 - when your Great-Great-Grandfather was but a twinkle in his Daddy's eye, shiraz vines were planted on the river flat in the newly settled Barossa Valley -in a place called Turkey Flat. Come 2017 we're celebrating the lifeblood of our winery, our 'Ancestor' shiraz vines with a fittingly sumptuous dinner. With the winery as our backdrop we will feast on a menu by Africola's Duncan Welgemoed and explore the past 27 years of Turkey Flat Shiraz created by these 170 year-old gems.

2015 Grenache - a smart, serious Grenache

"A smart, serious grenache. The colour is deep red-purple, and the bouquet spicy and tinged with ginger and eucalyptus. It's rich and full on the palate, deep and very appealing, with density and persistence, finishing with some heat from its 15 per cent alcohol. Good drinking now - 14 years. 92 points"
